The founding partners of the region’s fastest growing public affairs firm, Paladin Principle LLC, announced today that the company has retained the services of two local community leaders to work on contract with the firm on strategic issues management and economic development projects. John T. Procter and H. Edwin “Ed” Lyon have joined Paladin as senior consultants. “We are delighted to add John and Ed to our team,”said sr. partner and co-founder of Paladin, Ernie Villegas. “They each have unique skills and remarkable relationships to help us navigate local public relations, politics, and policy development issues for our clients.”
John T. Procter is currently a member of the city council for Santa Paula. First elected in 2000, he has served as Mayor and Vice Mayor and is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Ventura County Transportation Commission.
Mr. Procter attended Santa Paula Union High School, Class of 1970, and graduated from Stanford University in 1974 with a bachelor’s degreein communications.
H. Edwin “Ed” Lyon has more than 40 years of business leadership experience, having founded a local oil field construction company and a billion dollar refinery in Ventura. Mr. Lyon recently served as director of corporate partnership for United Way of Ventura County, and from 2000 to 2002 was President and CEO of Santa Clara High School in Oxnard. He is well regarded for his advocacy efforts to bring together business and education interests to benefit the community, including tenures as president of Ventura County Economic Development Association and chair of California State University Ventura County Task Force from 1976 to 1996. He holds a masters degree in public policy from California Lutheran University and a bachelor’s degree in science from San Jose State University.
The founding partners of Paladin Principle LLC are Ernie Villegas, Lin Graf, Fred Trueblood and Jeff Gorell. The firm, which is located in the Topa Tower Building in Oxnard, specializes in supporting companies and organizations with their large projects and grassroots initiatives by helping them navigate public opinion, media relations, coalition development and government affairs. |
