Principals - Jeff Gorell (Partner emeritus) |
Jeff Gorell was elected to the State Legislature in 2010, representing California's 37th Assembly District. Gorell no longer possesses ownership interest or control of Paladin, remaining only a proud partner emeritus.
Jeff Gorell has fifteen years experience as an advocate at the federal, state and local level. In the 1990s, he served as a speechwriter and deputy press secretary in the California Governor's Office before becoming the director of communications for the California Manufacturers and Technology Association -- a powerful business lobby in the State Capital. From 1999 to 2006, he then advocated before the California Superior Court as a deputy district attorney for Ventura County. Jeff has helped organizations at every level navigate California politics and develop public policy. He has advised energy, water, health care, manufacturing, entertainment and developer interests, helping his clients navigate state, local and federal agencies. He has litigated in the fields of business, environmental and election law, and drafted and lobbied in support of legislation in the areas of criminal justice and economic development. Today, Jeff is active on the board of directors for the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate level adjunct professor of public policy and politics at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. A third generation naval officer, Jeff is a veteran of the war in Afghanistan. He worked in Navy crisis communications and public affairs before becoming a reserve intelligence officer, the field in which he serves today.
