H. Edwin “Ed” Lyon has more than 40 years of business leadership experience, having founded a local oilfield construction company and a billion dollar refinery in Ventura. Mr. Lyon recently served as director of corporate partnership for United Way of Ventura County, and from 2000 to 2002 was President and CEO of Santa Clara High School in Oxnard. He is well regarded for his advocacy efforts to bring together business and education interests to benefit the community, including tenures as president of Ventura County Economic Development Association and chair of California State University Ventura County Task Force from 1976 to 1996. He holds a masters degree in public policy from California Lutheran University and a bachelor’s degree in science from San Jose State University.
